The 51xx family of Seiko midrange automatic movements were short lived, produced in the late 1960’s into the early 1970’s.
The 51xx movements debuted in 1967, and consisted of three models, with the 23-jeweled 5126 one of them; it ceased production in 1971. Of note, the 5126’s quickset date pusher is located coaxially inside the crown, this function was the namesake for the Seiko “Presimatic” line.
This 1969 Seiko 5126-7030 automatic sports diver, aka the “Sumo Rally," comes with a new brown leather strap, a NATO strap of our choice, spring bar tool, and Pelican travel case.
