There are many vintage Seiko popular with collectors, and the legendary 7S26 automatic movement - like the one powering this full-serviced 2002 Seiko 7S26-0420 automatic here, on a vintage stainless-steel bracelet - is one of these.

Seiko's 7S26 automatic movements continue to have a tremendous cult following (even after Seiko's quite odd decision to discontinue it in 2019).  And for good reason, the movement is largely bulletproof, and its popularity and ubiquitous nature means affordable maintenance and parts availability for decades and decades to come.

Debuting in 1996 to replace the 7002 in Seiko’s popular dive watch line, the 7S26 was the logical step in its mechanical movement line.  It incorporates quickset day and date displays, with automatic bi-directional winding via Seiko’s patented Magic Lever system.

Combine that a funky light blue-colored dial and you have a unique and reliable watch that can handle the rigors of sports activity, while being able to pair well with a tailored suit.

This Seiko comes on a vintage stainless-steel bracelet, and with nylon strap, rugged travel case, and springbar tool.
